Our Mission

Distributed Energy Resources (DERs)

Reliable Local-to-Regional Energy Networks

Our mission is based on local, reliable energy infrastructure & regional networks. We provide a specialized pathway for new energy development by the deployment of modular, self-contained units for site-specific benefits and breakthrough energy storage. Consistent with our mission we are registered under provisions of the Delaware Public Benefit Company statues with fiduciary duty to people, planet, & profit.

Our on-site, solid state designs underline the mission & public benefit commitment by providing affordable, faster delivery schedules with safer operations:

  • Affordable Energy: Cost-effective fuel production through a manufacturing to scalable components architecture for site delivery, installation & commissioning that meets or exceeds local, state & federal regulations.

  • Operational Reliability: Energy dense, non-precious metals allow operation measured in decades with minimal to zero fire or contamination risk, very low performance degradation, capital costs that are comparable to or lower than conventional solutions, and much lower Total Cost of Ownership (TOC) all providing the decision maker confidence to take positive action now.

  • Economic Growth & Stability: manufacturing based new clean power is the essential beginning of a ‘virtuous circle’ of market driven U.S. economic growth: high-quality jobs for skilled workers, related industry & services leading to long-term community prosperity, local responsibility & benefit.

Our History

Technology Due Diligence;

Design Precision & Project Execution

Founded in 2017 Cascadia principals, engineers & technologists with careers from leading energy consulting, EPC, research & operating firms-DNV Energy Systems, Black & Veatch, Bonneville Power Administration, Bell Labs-established what is now in the emerging U.S. clean hydrogen market the firm’s veteran experience & market relationships. We began by developing a deep understanding of the result required & designing strategies around breakthrough modular equipment for the new clean hydrogen economy first focusing on fundamental materials & systems research.

We are now a specialized design & systems integration consultancy with specific utility-account expertise & commercial emphasis. Our technical partnerships required to deliver on the promise of the clean hydrogen economy are the result of intense in-house technology due diligence, equipment selection & partnership development.

With our customers we are making triple bottom line progress by design through commissioning or phase of project work for both fleet fueling & MWh scale energy applications securely anchored by our knowledge of on-site clean hydrogen production. We bridge the gap between breakthrough technology and successful delivery of site-specific mobility & power projects with commissioning measured in weeks or months NOT years.

Phase 1: Foundations in Clean Hydrogen & Renewable Fuels

  • 2014 – 2017: Established early relationship with industry leaders like Hydrogenics (now Cummins) to advance electrolysis-based hydrogen generation.

  • 2017: Founded Cascadia with a focus on major waste-to-renewable fuel projects, including high-impact proposals in the Pacific Northwest with firms such as RavenSR.

  • 2017 – 2019: Public press announcements with other leading, modular technology specialists such as SunHydrogen (HyperSolar) furthering the early effort to commercialize on-site hydrogen production systems.

Phase 2: Project Execution & Diversification

  • 2020 – 2022: Expanded design consulting with the waste-to-fuel sector proposal development & engagements with firms including Hyzon Motors & RNG developers.

  • Transit System/Public Infrastructure: Finalist in municipal transit system bus fueling stations bid competitions, e.g., a 200 kg/day combined fueling and e-bus charging design.

  • Advanced Consulting: Provided the technical review & design engineering for a residential hydrogen fueling system and fuel cell hybrid pickup truck configuration. Working within a pre-existing architectural design, we fashioned the hydrogen production and storage systems to fit the established outward appearance. Our scope included the design of the hydrogen filling system, safe and secure locking and transport mechanisms from the refilling cabinet to the truck.

Phase 3: Modular Scale & Strategic Integration

  • 2023 – 2024: Company strategically repositioned to focus on modular, manufacturing-to-scale systems using commercially available, advanced production & storage equipment.

  • Expanded Partnerships & Proposals: Extended technology agreements with leading & emerging equipment suppliers such as CleanH2. Invited to join DOE ARCH2 Hydrogen Hub.

  • Systems & Designs Delivered: Design, integration, assembly, and testing of a hydrogen production unit for a global diesel engine OEM’s California facility. This on-site solution met or exceeded all zoning, emissions, and seismic regulations concluding with customer sign-off of one of the first U.S. Enapter electrolyzer installations.
